Needing assistance with younger children? Explore ideas and options
Ages 12 and under do not require convention registration, but must be under the supervision of a registered adult at all times.
We know that parents will enjoy the workshops and main sessions fully if they do not have to watch their children. We are parents too! If you do not have someone available to keep your children, we are offering programming for ages 5-12.
From dog safety to children’s theatre, we have a wonderful group of organizations offering special assembly presentations throughout the day for our children. We are adding the children’s sessions to the Whova app, so parents will know exactly what their children are experiencing.
We are having to charge for children’s program admission, because we must hire and certify workers for maximum safety and security. Workers will go through a hiring process and be given security instructions specific to our event. Our goal is a 1:10 worker/children ratio. Early registration (through March 1st) will be $35/child for both days, and $20/child for one day. (This is roughly $2 per hour) Additional discounts will be applied for 3 or more children from the same family.
Food/snacks will NOT be provided or allowed in the children’s programming area. Parents will be responsible to pick up children from 12pm to 1pm for a lunch break.
Children ages 4 and under are highly encouraged to be kept with a family member or babysitter at home. We realize that many parents do not have this flexibility. If you must have your children with you, plan to have items that will keep them occupied and respectful of other people and the environment. Please be aware that you may be asked to leave a workshop or session if your children are disruptive.
