Alabama Traffic Safety Center

The Alabama Traffic Safety Center of the University of Montevallo serves the State of Alabama through the delivery of training, educational programming, and technical assistance in the areas of driver, motorcycle, and other traffic related topics.

We offer a Young Driver Risk Reduction Course for Drivers 16-19 that offers skills beyond what students learn in drivers education courses.
We also offer a Safe Driver Course for drivers 20 years of age and older.
Drivers participate in an online and behind the wheel in person course at our range, using our cars to learn to successfully execute a proper evasive maneuver in an emergency is often the difference between a simple scare and a crash.
